15 Bonus Tracks – An Entire Disc of Archival Material
This expanded 2-CD edition adds 15 rare bonus tracks, including an entire second disc devoted to live and practice recordings from 1992.
Disc One expands the original album with two rare recordings from the Heed The Warning demo: “Heed The Warning” and “Seven Angels.”
Disc Two begins with five live soundboard recordings captured in Eindhoven, Holland, on October 11, 1992:
- Tormented Forever
- Dark Shadows
- Dr. Hatchet
- Woken By Silence
- Katie
The second half of Disc Two presents eight recordings from a remarkably clear 1992 practice tape:
- No Longer A Child
- Sacrifice Of Atonement
- Lacrimae
- Loved To Death
- Withered Flower
- Life In All Its Emptiness
- Dream In Gold
- Inherited Mercy
Although some song titles also appear on the original album or vinyl edition, these are different recordings and performances from distinct archival sources. The Eindhoven tracks document Seventh Angel in concert, while the practice tape captures the band in the creative period leading toward Lament For The Weary.
The soundboard and practice recordings are exceptionally clear for archival material. Individual instruments can be heard with remarkable definition and separation, allowing collectors to focus on the arrangements, performances, and musical development of the band.
This is not low-grade bonus material included merely to fill a second disc. These recordings sound excellent, are highly enjoyable, and provide a substantial new perspective on Seventh Angel during one of the most important periods in the band’s history.
