UMPFEL is a duo of Norwegian guys playing progressive rock/metal of HIGH class! We just received this CD directly from the band, and why these guys are not more known, is probably 1. Because they are a duo and not a touring band, 2. They live in Norway... :-)
Andreas S. Sjøen was (or is? the drummer of FLESHKILLER and does also sing, and play most of the instruments in UMPFEL. So a reference to the likes of Extol or Fleshkiller is ofcourse present, but this band stands out with their own original sound. Think Leprous, Dream Theater or even out of the box. We hope to hear more from Umpfel in the future! In the meantime, don't wait to get this digipak CD that they released themselves in 2019!
